This takes being a Sea Cadet to the next level.

Every year, the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps selects its best cadets to staff our inbound exchange program.

Do you have what it takes?

About Us

To provide specialized education, training and the opportunity to travel abroad for qualified U.S. Naval Sea Cadets who have an interest in learning about the cultural differences and nautical traditions that strengthen us as a global community.

It all started in 1998...

While the United States, Canada, and Bermuda have been conducting a Sea Cadet exchange since the early 1970s, our program was formally created in 1998. Through the years, we have conducted exchanges with Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Sweden, Netherlands, India, United Kingdom, Russia and Australia. We also host an exchange in the United States for visiting cadets from many nations.

My adventure of a lifetime to Sweden made me realize that the world is truly a small place which must be shared and that our similarities as human beings no matter where we are from, far outweigh our differences. We are all global citizens who have an obligation to improve the world, if through nothing else than acts of understanding and kindness. Participating as a U.S. Naval Sea Cadet in another country was an amazing opportunity for me to help fulfill that responsibility.
— Dylan McGettigan (Sweden)
This training was, by far, the best Sea Cadet experience I have ever had! Now I know for a fact that I have the travel bug.
— David Almeida (Sweden)
Jump in and experience everything that is offered! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so don’t waste it by sticking with what you know!
— Frederick LaCombe (Hong Kong)
India truly emphasized to me the idea that human life is beautiful, no matter your race, gender, religion, or nationality.
— Vivian Dees (India)
It was a lot of fun. I’m still in contact with a lot of the people that I met there from all of the other countries.
